Freeno card
A free social media scheduler for humans and AI agents
10 posts a day to every network you connect, from a composer or from your own agent, plus $5 of credits every month for the part that is actually hard: making the post. No card, nothing expires.
- Rail
- 10 posts a day, per UTC day
- Networks
- Nine live, Reddit on approval
- Credits
- $5 a month, refilled
- Interfaces
- Web, MCP, REST, CLI
What Free includes
- 10 posts a day through the rail, counted per UTC day.
- Every platform you connect: nine live today, Reddit the day its app approval lands.
- Manual to write one post yourself, Queue for the next free slot, Calendar to see the week.
- Per-platform previews, so you see the post in the feed's own chrome before it goes.
- The REST API, the hosted MCP server and the CLI; the MCP server is added as a custom connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
- $5 of credits every month, refilled, for the agents that write, design and render.
- No card to start, and nothing expires after a fortnight.
What it is not
Every free plan in this category has a wall. Ours is credits, not days, and here is exactly where it stands.
- The rail stops at 10 posts a day. The API answers 402 with the reset time rather than failing quietly.
- $5 a month buys a handful of written posts or a designed carousel, not a week of narrated video. Rendering a short costs real money and we do not pretend otherwise.
- Standing agents that wake on a schedule and draft the week start on Growth.
- Scheduling and publishing never spend credits. Only the agents that make things do.

How it works, in three moves
Connect an account
Sign in, open Accounts, and connect each network through its own sign-in. No developer app, no API key for the network, nothing pasted anywhere.
Write it once
Manual takes one post you wrote and lets any account say it its own way from its preview. Queue drops it in the next free slot, Calendar shows the week, and the preview is the feed's own chrome.
Or let an agent do it
Add https://shapelessai.com/mcp to Claude or ChatGPT, or point your own code at the REST API or the CLI. The same account, the same queue, the same 10 a day.
What you see before you connect anything

What an agent sends
One post, three interfaces, the same queue and the same daily cap. Keys are minted under Settings → API keys; the MCP server needs no key at all.
curl -X POST https://shapelessai.com/api/posts \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SHAPELESS_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"connectionId":"CONNECTION_ID","postText":"We rebuilt onboarding this week. Here is what broke first, and what we changed.","queue":true}'{

"queue": true
}
}shapeless posts create --to CONNECTION_ID --text "We rebuilt onboarding this week. Here is what broke first, and what we changed." --queueSwap "queue": true for "scheduledAt": "2026-09-20T09:00:00Z" to pin an exact minute; leave both out and it publishes now.
Pick your network
One page per network: its real limits, its own free scheduler described honestly, and the exact call an agent makes.
Reddit: waiting on Reddit's app approval. The publishing path is built and tested; until Reddit approves the app, a Reddit post is drafted and queued rather than sent.
Step-by-step guides
Beside the other free plans
The three worth knowing about before you pick us. Every fact below was read from the vendor's own page on the date it carries; the full survey covers seventeen.
- BufferFree forever
- Free plan
- 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel (a slot refills when a post publishes), 100 ideas, 1 user, insights.
- Agents on free
- Yes. The Free card lists API access, and buffer.com/mcp says it verbatim: MCP access is included on every plan, including Free.
- After free
- Essentials $5/month per channel, Team $10/month per channel.
The strongest free scheduler in the category and the honest default. Create posts, schedule, manage the queue and check channels, from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and more. It schedules what you already made; it does not make it.

- TypefullyFree forever
- Free plan
- 10 posts a month, 1 social set, 1 user, limited media uploads, advanced scheduling.
- Agents on free
- Yes. The Free card lists Agents, API, MCP. The MCP server is at mcp.typefully.com/mcp, OAuth or a bearer key.
- After free
- Creator (annual only) lifts it to 1,000 posts a month; Business 1,500 posts and up to 50 social sets, billed per social set.
The closest thing to a free agent-native scheduler besides us, and better than us at writing threads. Ten posts a month is the wall, and it publishes to X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Threads and Mastodon only.

- PostizFree if you host it
- Free plan
- No free hosted tier, only a 7-day trial. The source is AGPL-3.0 and the repo says there is no difference between the hosted and self-hosted versions.
- Agents on free
- Yes, if you run it. The MCP server starts as part of the Postiz backend and is reachable at /mcp with bearer auth, /mcp/:apiKey, and /mcp-oauth.
- After free
- Hosted: Standard $29 for 5 channels, Team $39, Pro $49, Ultimate $99. Unlimited posts on all.
The honest $0 answer for anyone willing to run a container: full API, full MCP, 30-plus networks, no cap. The price is that you now operate a service, keep tokens alive and handle every platform's app review yourself.

Questions
- Is it actually free, or is it a trial?
- Free. The rail - composing, queueing, scheduling, publishing - is 10 posts a day with no card and no expiry. What runs out is credits: $5 refilled every month for the agents that research, write, design and render. Scheduling never spends them.
- What happens on the sixth post of the day?
- The API answers 402 with code free_daily_cap, the limit and the time it resets, and the composer says the same thing. Nothing is silently dropped. The count is per UTC day and covers every post that goes out that day, whether you wrote it, your agent sent it, or you approved a proposal our agents made.
- Can my own AI agent use the free plan?
- Yes, and that is the point of the plan. The hosted MCP server at https://shapelessai.com/mcp, the REST API at /api/posts and the CLI are all on Free. Add the server to Claude or ChatGPT with OAuth and no API key, or mint a scoped key for your own code.
- Which platforms can I post to on the free plan?
- All of them: LinkedIn, LinkedIn Pages, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook Pages, Threads and Bluesky. Reddit: waiting on Reddit's app approval. The publishing path is built and tested; until Reddit approves the app, a Reddit post is drafted and queued rather than sent.
- Is this the only free MCP scheduler?
- No, and anyone who says that has not looked. Buffer includes MCP on its free plan, Typefully lists agents, API and MCP on its free card, and zernio gives two accounts free with a hosted MCP. What we have not found anywhere else is a free plan where the agent can also make the post - a designed carousel, a narrated short - inside the monthly credit.
- Do I need a developer app for each network?
- No. You connect each account once, under Accounts, through the network's own sign-in. We hold that connection; your chat app never sees a network token, and you never paste a key into it either.
