Blotato alternatives
This page is about leaving, not about buying us. What breaks, what carries over, what you should check before you cancel - and the alternatives that are not Shapeless, including staying where you are.
Why people leave Blotato
- The pipe works and the input dried up. Blotato publishes whatever you hand it, and deciding what to hand it is still your job.
- Credits go to video faster than expected, and the metering starts shaping what you make.
- Analytics only cover five of the nine networks it publishes to, so the channels you care about may be dark.
Check these before you cancel
In the order they bite. Some of these turn out to be reasons to stay, and it is cheaper to find that out now than after the subscription lapses.
- Pinterest, if you publish there. We do not.
- Your n8n or Make nodes. Blotato ships official ones; talking to us from n8n means an HTTP node against our API rather than a prebuilt block.
- Account count. Twenty accounts for $29 is genuinely cheap; if that is what you are buying, staying may be right.
What carries over
- Accounts reconnect through each platform's OAuth, as with any move.
- If your workflow lives in n8n, it can keep living there - our REST API and MCP server take the same kind of call Blotato's do.
Where to go instead
3 honest answers, one of which is staying where you are. We are last on purpose - if one of the others fits you better, take it.
- PostizAlso API-first and MCP-equipped, open source, more networks, and free if you self-host.
- Stay on BlotatoIf your agent already decides what to post, you are paying for exactly what you use.
- ShapelessIf you want the decision and the media made for you, and still want to drive it from your own agent.
Questions about moving
- Which tools here have a real MCP server?
- Blotato, Postiz, Typefully, Taplio and we do, as of 2026-09-06. Hootsuite mentions MCP connectors without documenting them. Buffer, Predis.ai and Marky publish none. Agent access has stopped being a differentiator in this category - what the agent can ask for is the difference now.
- Can I keep my n8n workflow?
- Yes. Blotato ships official n8n and Make nodes; we expose a REST API and MCP server, so the same workflow talks to us through an HTTP request node. It is a little more setup and no loss of capability.
